One of my key skills in my first career as a teacher and geographer was to “notice”. Whether that as my surroundings and environment or the goings on in a classroom I had my senses on high alert most of the time.
Today as Earth Day was a chance to encourage others to do the same.
Today I walked by the sea, I saw Earth from a land slip being taken away by energetic mean with shovels and wheelbarrows, I watched the waves, I sat on the pier and watched the pontoon moored offshore in the bay undulating like a caterpillar (not a cake one with a name starting with C – current new story).
This evening I noticed the sea and it’s waves from a rib while on safety boat crew with the sailing club for the first time.
