Flowers and trees
Today was a ‘notice’ kind of day. We spent the morning at an appointment looking at kitchen plans and units, worktops etc. I found visualising drawings to 3D easier than Anne and the rendered pieces were great – so fast. Worktops including different geology was interesting from my own distant degree memories of plagioclase feldspar, mica and muscovite.
Then a walk at Upton Country Park on the edge of Holes Bay, Poole Harbour. We went to see the rhododendrons and also saw a range of trees including a young Chilean pine (monkey puzzle), a conifer with almost feathery fern like leaves, a very tall eucalyptus. It was low tide when we looked over the bay but not very much bird life visible.
A forest and nature bathing experience, unfortunately the humid heat hit me later and I developed a headache, slept most of the afternoon and missed sailing as just wiped out, so an easy evening instead.
