Inktober day 27 and art for fun record

Today’s prompt was spark so I went with a fireworks related piece.

Inktober day 27 – spark

Today I set the challenge on my #goodmornning from #swanage Instagram post to try and beat 16 participants in a day for Art for Fun – by the end of the day – 24!!!!

So over four days in this half term holiday I have hosted 68 people drawing. Overall in 37 shop days, 130 or so have taken part. Today reflected what I want the activity to be about. Several children and parents said how their drawing wasn’t any good, but hey enjoyed the process. I did my inktober piece and completed my Prince Albert Memorial drawing too.

Newest piece

The range of drawing ideas today was great and some fantastic discussions too between different family groups, within family groups and so on. One young man drew on the suit he had missed doing two years ago in year 4 – that was a great example of completing a circle.

Some work examples from today:

Halloween
Not completed but when Grandma rings Andy to say lunch is on the table …
Great discussion about mountain colours
This kept Dad absorbed
Great sense of movement, wasn’t very keen until 150+ colours mentioned and then …
Mum and three daughters came to visit
Up to 8 participants at a time
Some great variety in use of colour

So tomorrows forecast is dry, Friday and Saturday will probably be inside as wet forecast – how many art for fun participants can we get in 7 shop days finishing at 5pm on Saturday 30th October?
