Swanage Town Council started a series of community awards to recognise positives in the town in 2019. The town runs on its volunteers and as a first time attendee it was very interesting to hear bout the time nd effort put in by many of the other award winners.
Yes, other, as I picked up the ‘Arts, Sciences and Community award for 2023 based mainly around Art for Fun but also my drawing and guided walks with the Flooding Swanage with Art project.
It felt special,to be recognised and now with many people passing on heir congratulations I find myself feeling bashful about it but pleased that it is noticed as part of its ongoing promotion nd development. Just the day after the award on Friday evening I hosted 7 new participants.
