So, I reopened the studio-shop on Tuesday October 1st. The break had helped including 9 days of no posting on social media except some replies on others posts.
It is the time of the year where things quieten down s schools back and Autumn comes in.
This year I am participating in 3 daily prompt drawing events:
Inktober 2024 – I post drawings based on the daily word prompts on both my art and shop Instagram accounts daily. I have also made a display in the shop to show the drawings as I do them. These admittedly are usually fairly quick pieces trying ideas out.
Boatober 2024 led by Doug Jackson artwork – again I post daily on Instagram accounts. The prompts are photos of a variety of boats. I am using A6 pieces as these often sell on as part of my original art postcard series.
100 days of sketching – again word prompts which I am doing in my sketchbook I received from AllSortd. Again drawn every few days an short pieces to try ideas, I have not posted these online but may do something when it finishes at the start of December.
I am also sketching when out and drawing other pieces – ie. I finished an A3 piece of Swanage Pier and the STS Fryderyk Chopin from its visit in August and I started this in September. I have already started my next piece which is Pip Hare and Medallia leaving Poole Harbour already of the Vendee Globe 2924 event.
I will also be adding boxes, bookmarks etc as the mood and inspiration I draw, this month will be over 100 drawings of various size and detail. takes me – every so often I realise quite how many pieces .
