Monday June 15, 2020 The Courtyard Studio Reopens

So, tomorrow morning I return from lockdown, a period often with little structure to four days on shift in The Courtyard Studio and a shared shift at The Purbeck Artisan Yard.

I will be opening at The Courtyard Studio from 10 to 5 this week on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday. It is my understanding that on Thursday, Friday and Sunday it will open from 11 to 3.

I am looking forward to being back in the shop; yes there are changes.

How the window by the door will be when I am on shift

So:

On arrival:

One household unit only in the shop at a time (1 to 4 people).

If there are children, adults are responsible for their behaviour.

If wearing gloves, please remove them to prevent cross transference.

Hand sanitiser is provided as you enter the shop.

As the people entering live with the others social distancing is not needed, nor is the nominal one way system.

In the shop

I will stay behind the counter and screen as required. I can answer questions as needed.

Please do not touch items you do not intend to buy. The originals and prints browsers will include touching and I will wipe down when you have left. The card carousel will also need to be touched to turn.

Paying for purchases

Bring items to buy to the counter, show me the marked prices from your side of the screen, I will provide a paper carrier if needed, just ask.

If an item needs wrapping pass it to me through the slot at the base of the screen.

Purchases should be paid with using card (contactless) payment upto £45. If above this the phone screen will be wiped between customers as it acts as my keypad.

Cash can be accepted.

Other information

The shop front door and rear window behind me will remain open to encourage air to circulate.

I will be washing my hands every 20 minutes and wiping down surfaces and items touched by previous customers. if you have any concerns please tell me or ask.

I hope that this is comprehensive enough and easy to understand. The four signs in the window give this information and I will remind people on arriving. Hopefully it will not be necessary, but if a visitor does not comply by these safeguarding guidelines I will ask them to leave the shop.

Thanks

Andy
