PAW day 9/14

Monday and the start of the last full week of PAW21 and also the start of Planet Purbeck Festival. This morning I had a visit from Dean and Phil who were visiting Planet Purbeck events on offer as part of the festival – I of course am offering Art for Fun. Dean and I chatted and he took some photos which he used for festival publicity on social media.

One lady customer who bought some cards. Then a quiet period so I got in with the pier pen line drawing on the wooden box. To keep this as accurate as possible I used my reference photo taken from the kayak and zoomed in on a section at a time of the underside of the pier.

Today’s starting point
Work in progress
Completed piece

To be honest one of the best line drawings I think I have ever done, as a friend says it is intricate, detailed but has a light touch to it. The difficult stage comes next on what else to add to the box.

This afternoon Andreea popped by to get a postcard art pad. Anne decided to draw and it was great to see her enjoying herself, she was going to chose an easy idea – then she said a peacock!

Fully focused
Impressive piece

Later a lady and her daughter joined us for Art for Fun and drew their own pieces I chatted while adding to the Watersports boilersuit both on a front panel and adding symbols for watersports to the map on the back of the suit.

Drawn despite a broken wrist
Pattern and a definite choice of favoured colours
Swimmers and divers
Map plus symbols

More map work and art for fun tomorrow.
