Just 6 years ago…
I often get asked when I started doing art and to be honest in its current format 2015 when I started to keep a sketchbook and braved the world of Urban Sketching – first time out this week 2015, Borough Market, Southbank, London on a Saturday lunchtime – proof that drawing can help you to switch off from the world.

I also drew several sketches on my iPad mini that day on the train to London and during the afternoon.

This sketching was to help me switch off. Six years on 10 weeks into opening my own solo shop to sell my own artwork and I have had 174 people of all ages join me to try drawing through my ‘art for fun’ initiative.
I look forward to celebrating the 200th person hopefully this month – at last I have the space to offer the initiative and the numbers are simply stunning.
