Dividing my day
Yesterday, I was creative and drew those 6 drystone wall pictures I shared in my post. Today I decided to do something different and split my studio days so that I am working on several simultaneous projects and adding variety to my days.
A cold but sunny day. I moved the furniture yesterday to give me better radiator access as having the front door open to allow ventilation and access is cold over the day but as the door is a fairly solid design I want people to realise I am open.

This morning:
An admin. session. I had started to look at the forms for Purbeck Art Weeks 2022 when I had the email. Today I entered myself as an exhibitor at Rollington Barn for the second time which allows me to exhibit six pieces of work on my own board. I have also entered as an Open Studio as I want my working space to be visited so people can come and find me working on my projects and be able to share projects at different stages. Also of course there is the ongoing Art for fun offer to draw with me as well.
I also selected my duties to complete as an artist for the art events too – it was quite strange on the 5th of January to be completing commitments for the end of May and start of June after not being able to plan ahead easily the last two years.
This afternoon:
After a lunch break I used my photos backed up on my Google drive to look at possible locations away from Dorset that I might draw as original A6 postcards and develop some work based on previous travels to add to my Purbeck focus.
During the afternoon I had one visitor who bought some cards which was a lovely surprise when I am seeing so few people.
I completed one card and started another based on a holiday in Biddeford in North Devon. It is an area we have been to a few times and in fact hope to return to in March this year.

My initial, plan for Friday will be to draw more cards as aboveā¦but plans can of course change.
