Second week,of January and so far…

It’s a new year and as the last post stated, no resolutions just keep doing what I have been.

So, January 2nd I had planned to be open for the morning before an electrician came to fit a new meter for landlords. He came at the start of the day so I took the day off as no space to work or electricity for lights either.

Since then I have opened normal days (well Wednesday, Friday and Saturday at least) until now – Tuesday and Wednesday this week – germs caught up with me that I have been fighting off throughout December.

Flooding Swanage with Art additional panels

On those 3 days I have completed the new Sailing panel to be included at Monkey beach now that the blocks have all been turned around. I have also completed the new Rowing panel on Saturday morning.

Sailing panel 75 x 75 cm
Rowing panel 75 x 75cm

Pleased with this progress, then on Saturday afternoon I was joined by J from AllSort’d and we started the two new panels that will show what the now scratched (Storm Ciaran) panel showed originally. We put in a joint four hours on Saturday and with the use of my Posca Mop’R 22k paint applicator we progressed to this stage (photos below show progress with both panels).

Two blank panels started Saturday
Save our Sea panel that will feature the sponsor’s chocolate fish
By the end of Saturday pm
J at fish work and filling in diver and dolphins
End of play Saturday

… and this was where we were going to continue today plus one of the other artists – but I am unwell.

To be continued and posted about.

Wednesday lunchtimes

Usually I have lunch from The Loft Community Centre on a Wednesday but collect and bring it to the studio to keep working . I have decided that for the next couple of months except half term I am taking an hour lunch break and eating up in The Loft and chatting with others at lunch as well.

A note will be posted on the shop door to say where I am.

A very creative start to 2024.

My Purbeck Arts Weeks 2024 entry has gone in already and Iwill be developing new pieces for this event in May / June once I have completed these panels for the ‘Flooding Swanage with Art Trail’.

Today while at home I have added more of my 2018 card designs to the page on this website which will eventually display and tell you more about all of my cards that I have had printed to sell as part of AndyKnillArt since 2017. Once the card portfolio is complete I will go onto prints and then original works sections too. I have never got to the point of posting all of the art that I have produced. It is hard work catching up after almost 7 years (31st January 2024) but this time I am going to sticker the task until it is done and hopefully before the 8th birthday. That seems a silly statement but there are about 500 original pieces that I have drawn!!
