January 2022 I had a blog posted published as part of the Small Business Britain d:Entrepreneur campaign. My disability – my Mental health, a personal aspect of my life that I have blogged about and talked about openly for almost 10 years now.
I had an article published in Happiful magazine in October 2021 too.
This month I hear back from Small Business Britain checking if it was ok to reuse information from that blog post for a new initiative coming soon in 2024. I said yes of course and provided some updating ie in Jan 2022 200 art for fun session had taken place, of course now the number is 2500.
Then I also received an invitation to attend the launch of this new initiative on February 1st in London. I have declined as:
– not wanting to travel to London, especially for an event starting at 10am
– I am already committed to attending and supporting at ArtBattle Bournemouth 2 later that day and I would not be able to fit both in.
It was very gratifying to be invited though.
I am a firm believer in the importance of communication, openess and networking. it has not always made it easier to get along with some people I work alongside but they are key things that work for me.
Currently along the same lines I am back trying to develop the presence of the area I have nicknamed ‘The heart of Swanage’ through the use of Facebook and Instagram accounts – and starting to see more of my neighbouring businesses showing some interest in being involved.
