The Purbeck Art Weeks 2020 OnlineAuction
From 3 to 5 pm this afternoon an online auction was held that featured the work of 34 PAW artists. There were finally just under 230 lots with a maximum for each artist of 10 lots.
How did the artists feel about it? I and several others thatI asked were u certain how it would go. In the end I can report that 69 pieces sold and approx. £8000 was raised. 60% of this will go to the artists, 20% to start to rebuild the PAW funds after having to cancel the 2020 art weeks and 20% will go the Dorset Community Covid19 Fund (both will receive about £1600).
I am happy that I sold three pieces and I look forward to getting the buyers’ details so I can arrange delivery of their piece.
I sold:
Day at the beach – a miniature easel canvas
Gadds Cliff and Worbarrow – a piece drawn during the Covid lockdown
A rooftop view – inspired by the view from my youngest son’s flat in Swanage.
