Friday local trip
Today we decided to have a trip out locally. We went to Lulworth Cover before the season gets too busy there. We took the country lane route, the ranges meant that the hill route near Tyneham was shut this morning.
Once parked up we went down to the cove, had a coffee and I did one sketch, looking over the water. It was still blustery with the easterly breeze that we shall have all through the weekend due the area of high pressure.

Then we walked around the shore of the cove to the other side, not always easy in sports sandals which of course let small shingle in the holes. On the east side we were sheltered from the wind. This was a first for both of us to go around the cove.
We walked back and had some lunch at the same cafe and then I drew a second piece of the west side of the cove entrance.

After lunch we made our way up above Stair Hole. We looked along the coast to east and west. Saw the four cruise ships off Ringstead Bay and Weymouth, a lot of white horses on the waves. We watched a group of sea kayakers pass from west to east. Then we drove back, this time the ranges had opened and we went over the hill and descended to Creech Grange and then cut through to East Creech, past the Blue Pool. Before Corfe we called into Norden Farm for some compost and saw Potter the dog and a friend from Wareham.
Once home we did a range of calls and posts that were needed. I prepared some images to use for work tomorrow and pieces that I am working on so I can continue with them in the shop.
Then we went for a walk to the north end of the seawall in Swanage Bay and back, we saw a few friends and took our walks today to over 10k steps again. Each of the four months this year are the top 4 for walking that I have done since Feb 2019 and it is something I intend to keep up as I enjoy the exercise.
