A day off tomorrow, back on Saturday

So Christmas Eve how would business be. First a sunny day with a clear sky and cool temperatures so dress in layers both artist and assistant.

Some vitamin sea on the way to work

A decision had been made we would open until 2 hours of the last customer. So we should have gone at 12 but then we had some visitors for last minute Christmas cards and comments like I know where to come next year having just discovered Santa over the… series.

Anne stayed in the shop to try and stay warm, I of course sat outside on a stool with Beware artist sign and continued work on hat I started yesterday. The photos shared here is as far as I got today and will continue on Saturday 26 at 10am. Thanks to Ciaron and the wonderful team at Java Independent Coffee House for our hand delivered drinks and lunch today.

My perch outside much to the surprise of passers by obviously not familiar with me spending the last three Decembers doing this on the seafront
The night scene, watch out Mr Explorer it’s behind you…channelling panto lines
It must be hot on that hammock
Peek a boo said the gorilla and Toucan play at that game, banana anyone?
The celebrity free campsite at sunset – this scene will continue on Saturday

Please note no planning has gone into this drawing it is a pure make it up as you go along drawing with a little google research (other search engines are available) by my gorgeous assistant. This is a pure demonstration of what I mean by “Art for fun”.

We shut at two, WBT home changed footwear then off to the beach for a walk and in my case dressed exactly the same.

Sunshine on Ballard Down

My gorgeous shop assistant now transformed into a well wrapped up wife as Anne felt the cold.

A better Christmas Eve than last year where we sat in Poole hospital before she was admitted to celebrate Christmas Eve with an appendectomy

For all of you who read my posts, like them and / or comment many thanks. I wish you a happy and healthy season of goodwill and we go into 2021 taking it a day at a time.

Back in the shop on Saturday so a blog rest tomorrow and then hopefully a completed hat to share – number 11 since June – what a great niche that I am so happy I started.

Thanks

Andy
