Employing someone to do a task
Everything so far for AndyKnillArt has been done by me or organised by me. I don’t print own pictures but chose who to use. Today I started a connection with Jurassic Creative for PR support as I don’t know who to contact best to try and get coverage in print media. I decided this was a good use of some of my covid grant money.
Catherine from Jurassic Creative has shared ideas on Instagram before and answered questions for free. She was then the expert in a webinar I watched and I decided to go with a local company who are Dorset based.

We have chatted initially and she put a proposal together for me. Today we chatted so she can put a pack together to send out to some publications that we have identified that I would like to get into. My art story covers a range of aspects from changing career in my 50s, links with my mental health struggles and how I am open to talking about his, how I market myself as an artist including the outfits and hat art. Also we can link into connections I am now trying to forge to do art with various water sport individuals and organisations.
I look forward to seeing how this develops and it’s good to get input from a professional in their field. It’s not something that I would probably have considered if the covid grant money didn’t help me but I am very conscious of pushing information about my work and technique out to a wider audience than previously.
