Favourite
Marchmeetthemaker day 26 prompt is Favourite.
I can never have one favourite piece of art.
However, my favourite view from a home is my current one over Swanage Bay. Who couldn’t love this view in all weathers and at all time of the year.
I share a shop to sell my artwork and it now has my signature colours as the background to my areas for display. This time last year I hadn’t even come up with my logo and colour scheme so it is good to tie together the different elements of my marketing as a visual aspect in The Courtyard Studio. .
I can walk by the sea everyday and today as an example I got absolutely soaked in a heavy rain shower this morning, yet later enjoyed the beach in the sunshine. The natural features combine with the waves and the activity of people visiting by land or water.
Let’s be honest I know how lucky I am. Also after years of telling myself what could I do if I wasn’t a teacher ?- I have an answer – I can run my own independent business as a professional artist. That this change has come about in four years amazes me, but as I spend more time developing my art and the business with it so I learn so many more things to try and find new sources of ideas.
So, my favourite is living in Swanage, Purbeck where I can draw my art and people are interested in buying it from me.
