Non shop day, go seeking new inspirations

So, it’s Wednesday and this week I am not on shift, I will be for the 21 and 28 of April. I woke early and knew the bay was forecast to be calm. I was up early and on the water by 06:30 so got to watch sunrise while out in Swanage Bay.

It was very calm, quiet. Some dog walkers, runners and sea swimmers. I eventually paddled as far as Sheps Hollow at the end of the groynes and managed beach. I took some video clips and photos with my phone which lives in a waterproof case for this purpose.

Getting out and around the pier
The sun rising above the pier from the main bay
Below The Grand Hotel and the sun reflecting off the beach huts
Returning to Bucks Shore between the legs of the old pier

Later in the morning we met friends for a drink at the 1859 (pier cafe) and then a walk and more photos with the camera of the variety of boats and people enjoying the sea.

Swanage has so many ways to inspire the artist and I have more links to follow up in future work.
