Art for fun extravaganza

Today at the shop three mums and seven children visited aged Four upwards and I managed to fit them around the two folding tables towards the back of the shop and was also able to seat them all.

They all had quite clear ideas to work on and two of them did a picture on both side of their sheet of paper. It was great to have such a great atmosphere in the shop.

The four year old who then had lots of challenges around the shop picking up and arranging items using their lobster grabber.
Nice use of a repeating flower pattern
I checked that I photographed this piece the right way up
This young man felt he had spoilt his picture with the inclusion of the birds
His other piece which we discussed could include colour or remain black and white

Later Andreea who comes on her day off had her third visit and another excellent drawing.

This was based on a photo that she worked from, she is finding the mindfulness of the drawing helpful and also the ease of using the markers

I drew an A6 postcard piece of the Fisherman’s boats out on Peveril. I then started to work on a larger version of this which will go into more detail of the fishing equipment and the boats on the shoreline.

A6 postcard
Newer A3 piece that I started.

Having so many doing art for fun me at less interaction with the children and more with their mothers. To be honest coordinating such a group was a bit of a planning difficulty but we managed it and other visitors were able to visit the shop too.
