Inktober day 2 and rain
So, yesterday I sat on the downs to the south of the bay and enjoyed the view. Today was not a day for sitting outside, we had rain, at times light showers and at times heavy rain or persistent gusty showers.
Realistically I expected a shop day where I would see virtually no one and likely a zero sales day. Luckily I was wrong on both counts. Both friends and visitors to town dropped in and some good chats.

Eddie Burrows a friend and fellow artist from Wareham and yes we do share a resemblance which has caused confusion for some previously. Maisie and photo from Simon who also dropped by. The issue of paper drying came up based on the idea of drawing on wet paper or even outside in this weather. I demonstrated my new paper rack from Pooki Presses.
At a quiet point today I made a video clip for TikTok of the shop and left the sound of the weather to emphasise the point about why the shop was quiet.
Also my only bit of drawing when not adding picture mounts to new prints or sorting items in the shop was day 2 of Inktober – I have started a display in the shop of my pieces and also stuck the prompts in the window too.
Today’s prompt was suit. So I drew a rough copy of my Watersports suit front side.

Only a few card and postcard sales, but the track record of no zero sales days continues which was a pleasant surprise in the circumstances.
