Exploring more of Dorset
For five years now Anne has wanted to go to National Trust Kingston Lacey near Wimborne, finally today we did to celebrate Anne’s birthday. We got great weather, cloudy but mild and less breezy than recently.

This is where we started our visit at the cafe before exploring the gardens. They were setting up for the lit gardens for Christmas and cables in lots of places.
We liked the fernery, acer glade, Japanese garden, Tea garden, the planned work in the kitchen gardens and the kitchen garden buildings plus the woodland.

Many other photos were taken by us both on phones and camera and I am sure some art will be inspired even if only for the pleasure of drawing and us enjoying for ourselves.
Lunch was back at the stableyard and a drive back through various bits of Dorset countryside including lots of trees.
We will return to see how the kitchen garden develops, I would like to sit and draw in the gardens and also to visit inside the house which Annes cough would not have suited today.
Previously to living here we had holidayed in Dorset three times and explored more of the county. It is something we need to do more of and especially the inland areas as currently we really favour the coastline.
