Drawing and also some helping
Today I did quite a bit at the studio.
First was checking the proofs of my new card series of Watersports cards which I dropped off at the printer yesterday.

I also tidied up the window, valentines cards.

I updated my mask sign, ie I will respect customer choice and wear my mask if they do and the shop will remain ventilated at all times.

I added some fluorescent orange to the window writing about the business 5th anniversary on Monday – can’t quite believe that I am still selling my art 5 years on from that tentative start in 2017.

Then I had a visitor to see me about a commission for their wedding anniversary, I start on that next week.
The lady I had helped on Wednesday came for more PAW application help and in the end we did two complete applications together.
Then some drawing and I completed the adding of colour to the stones on the ‘Purbeck drystone wall styles’ hexagon box.

This afternoon I started a small panorama piece of Swanage pier as it was lit up at Christmas. It is about 33 x 8 cms. I used Affinity designer to put a grid layer over the source photo and marked measurements around the drawing area to help plan the position of features. I still worked in pen so no turning back once I commit pen to paper. I am using Posca pens for colour this time.

I am interested to see how this works out and I look forward to continuing with it tomorrow – my first Saturday in the shop after being closed for two due to pantomime commitments.
I drafted my February projects on the back of the Feb calendar page – the drystone wall Lino pieces and panorama projects continue but less steps as earlier steps done this month. I am also attending an event with’Toes in the Water Art’ in Southampton and need to look at events in Swanage this year to tie up within addition to PAW2022. For example, having some pirate chests available for Purbeck Pirate weekend.
So a good day.
