Projects, friends, customers and drawings

I decided today that a record of what I was already working on this month was needed so that I could be clear what I had already committed to and remind myself not to add additional projects at the moment. I decided to record this on the back of the January page in my calendar copy that I am already planning my year on.

I had two customers who bought items today which was a bonus. The extra bonus was that I saw a number of friends today that I know from Swanage both in terms of life generally, artists, other businesses, family . I also then did some drawings as well from photos including two taken in the last two days.

The first piece was based on an older photograph where I had seen one swimmer going in, while another in dry robe was coming away after their swim. Dry robes are a common item on Swanage seafront especially in the earlier hours of the morning as the regular year round swimmers go in. This piece may sell or remain as one to take to ‘Toes in the Water’ event on Feb 19th.

I had noticed the shadows created by these new stools and took some photos. Today I drew this misc. category art postcard. I am pleased with the effect.

I had popped into town to drop off some spare leaflets at the Swanage TIC. On my way home along the seafront I took a number of photos of the changing light and reflections as the bay was so still. The gig in the foreground and the pier attracted my attention – this piece is in progress.

So a full day, a happy day and energy saved towards Thursday to Saturday and Panto commitments.
