Arty projects card
So a quiet Friday at the studio / shop. One customer, some visitors and I kept busy.
This morning I continued with the Posca pens on wood piece of the Wolf moon rise. I added a second layer of paint to all aspects and then light on pier edges and timbers. Very pleased and it is now up for sale in the shop. Several people have commented about it online.
Lunch with Anne and a visit from our son too. This afternoon I watched a video about how to make your e-commerce progress, some good points. I haven’t signed up for a call yet as seeing if would work for me and time commitment I might have to do or if I could replicate idea for myself.
Then it was onto putting into action some of the things I had watched about linocutting. First some baking parchment as tracing paper to trace one of the drystone wall pieces. This was then reversed and traced onto the softer sheets I bought to try out.
I have realised I am trying far too complex an idea to start again which wasn’t my intention so I will work on this but also do some experimental simpler and smaller designs to try out techniques with.
I also got peckish, checked Java’s Instagram and saw they had cinnamon buns this morning – any left I messaged and I got the last one.
This evening we got to the theatre early and I did a drawing of David our director doing the dame’s make up. I was pleased with this one as was David who had requested it.
Later I drew a group picture but it was the first of 8 drawings in Panto time that hasn’t gone right – complicated perspective so I will retry tomorrow or do once show is finished.
Having a drink after the show more compliments about the drawings backstage from other local people which was nice. No shop tomorrow – final two Panto performances and studio next week.
