A quiet cool day, yet still…
Friday and the forecast was a gentle breeze from the north east. As I walked down to work it was already more than gentle and the temperature had dropped because of the wind direction.
I started outside the shop for about 60 to 90 minutes but then came in as it was too cold. A restock of Christmas card display and some other popular designs too. It wasn’t u til around just after lunch that a gentleman came in looking for a seasonal card but not Christmas focused, I showed some options and he chose the sheep pen road snow scene. He then asked about gifts and I explained the price points in the shop. His wife likes Dancing Ledge which is still on my intended rather than drawn list but he liked the Sailing from Chapmans Pool piece and took a print of that.
Later my client who had arranged to come in arrived and after being shown his piece paid the second payment and took his piece away. So only two customers but a good day for me. Also this afternoon I wrote Christmas cards for friends to go in the post before the second class post deadline, just.
By the end of the day I admit I was worn out, a trip to the posting box then home and an evening of resting.
