New month, new week… what shall I work on

My studio day today started with a phone call to a retailer I had ordered items from in December 2021. After my first email one item of my order arrived. Two further emails have not been replied to and today I tried to talk to customer service – no one available – has anyone else had an issue with online orders from Great Art in London, UK?

Then I decided as a follow up to the anniversary yesterday to use a small Lino block I had made to hand print some paper bags as a novel limited edition bag. Let’s see how long it takes for 25 bags to go.

The printing continued with a black ink on white paper print trial of the drystone wall strip.

The three prints on wetted paper were cut into strips pre soaking and printing
The bottom strip was on dry paper. The other three on wetted paper

The need to blot paper more after wetting is clearly needed but the third strip down really encourages me and for only my fifth linocut I am so pleased with the print quality.

This afternoon I worked on a commission drawing for a wedding anniversary gift. Luckily the client works in a nearby cafe and was able to se the progress in person today.

Some visitors too and cards sold. A great start to year 6 of AndyKnillArt.
