A wow day tbh
So today after yesterdays marker audit was to include some drawing and see who came through the door sort of plan.
Early sales of some cards and then two for Art for Fun, once of whom has a card business so a little bit like coals from Newcastle but a great chat and draw for them and Lino cut for me.
It was getting quite breezy outside and it was lovely to just have creative time, chat and explain how the ProMarkers work re blending etc.
Then some more card sales and now I was ahead of yesterdays takings with £12. As Anne and I were eating lunch a lady looked in at an original piece of me kayaking in the bay – turns out her husband and I have the same kayak in the same colour. However, he wears a white kayaking helmet. No problem says I, I can change the helmet colour – one sale made. I then worked on the piece and she collected about an hour later.
Later card sales and then two more asked this afternoon about Art for fun and had a go, meanwhile one of their party came in and took a liking to Fishing Boats piece and bought a print and one of the art for fun-ers bought one too.
By now you could have blown me down with a feather – wow over £200 of sales on what is traditionally my quietest day of the week. The art for fun was also great to share.
I had to take the flag down after it blew over twice and I won’t be putting it out on Friday when gusts of up to 96 mph are forecast.
Back in the shop on Friday then.
