PAW 2022 day five
So, Wednesday June 1st and back at the studio for the last two days on what are my normal working days. The art weeks have started well for me, just over a week ago I was worried I wouldn’t sell enough art to cover the studio’s rent last month. Now five days on and the rent is safe and I have sold a number of prints and an original drawing. In four days the shop / studio has had 168 visitors. Art for fun has had 30 more takers.
I am enjoying the interaction with visitors old and new, young and old. It is a tiring day after up to 7 hours of chatting with different visitors individually or in groups & families but I love it.
Talking about how I came to be doing art, let alone selling it and why I believe art can be such an important release as an activity and a therapy without pressure.
In the last two days I have had families return who have visited before when I was at The Courtyard Studio… near Java and couldn’t do art for fun for covid regulations, to people who know me as the man in the woods from 2017 to 2019 art weeks. That continuity is lovely and special to have made connections where children request to come back and do art with me again.
Here are some of the work produced since Saturday:

…and today I sold over 10 Christmas cards too!! Purbeck Art Weeks – I love you.
