What an amazing day
In conversation with other local businesses we have reflected how it is impossible to predict what may happen on any given day. So Friday had seen the sale of two cards but pleasing as it took sales over £100 for the week.
Today cooler, dry for most of it except some light showers near the end of the afternoon. I hoped to see a range of local friends and see what the day will bring.
In the end 7 participants for art for fun included adults as well as children. Some really good chats as the feedback comments showed – I really should share these on a more regular basis.

Sales were four cards to a local customer who returns when the last batch of cards she bought are used up or has framed them to hang at home.
So about 4pm the sales stood at £7 but tbh a good day with lots of chats with visitors, our Art for Fun participants and mainly dry.
Then the rain came, I covered up the new picture and stayed outside, but the rain was starting to get things too wet so I moved inside and added more pebbles to the scene.
Then a group of ladies arrived down from Twickenham / Teddington area – shared my memories of the Diana fountain in Bushey Park and my grandparents. Soon they found a range of tree pieces that they liked and one sunset. The next moment I had sold three A3 and one A4 print and the day looks like med far healthily financially. Just as I was closing up a family who have been before visited looking for thank you cards for their teachers – what a nice compliment to be chosen. Also insistence that mum returns with daughter and possibly son to do more art for fun again as I was just closing up.
In addition I am starting to organise a new art promotion initiative E that I will be running from August 2022 and spoke to some local artist friends about this and seeing if they were interested in being involved. I will post more about this nearer the launch.
Then one of the pupils involved with my series of sketching sessions at Swanage Primary school surprised his mum and these were sent to me.

Then it developed further…

Milly and I had discussed the idea of remembering what had happened at school at the end of the day – now at the end of the week w E had been out sketching developing a similar piece – I think we have a success. On Monday I will e back in school developing drawings with the children around the topic of trees and also they will be drawing on my newest boiler suit for posterity and I gain another unique piece of art to wear.
After work we went for a walk and more inspirations were gathered as photos to possibly draw at some point.
Now I am sat watching Sir Paul McCartney perform on Glastonbury …. An amazing day indeed.
