Art for fun at half term – yeeehaaa
So, of course since term started art for fun has declined in numbers although 77 sessions overall in September. Today was the first day of half term locally and I had the pleasure of hosting 26 children and adults today – a figure more common in August.
A mix of ages from below school age to a gentleman with Alzheimer’s. There was such a range of topics chatted about. Where were people visiting from? Those finishing their earlier half term – where had they visited? What had families been doing since I last saw them?
Several new visitors, some following friends recommendations, others recommending the activity to friends also in town. Several families I have seen a number of times in the last year – this continuity is great as you get to know them and their likes.
Local families and visiting friends / relatives, again more frequent visitors that I am getting to know better.
Off the back of art for fun a range of my work and also art materials sold so that more drawing could be done when they couldn’t access my pens. Most of the day was drawing outside, for a period this afternoon we moved inside as it rained a bit, but it cleared up again.
Wow, that was a fun day. Here is a video I put together via Tik Tok to share the images I got to photograph.
