Holiday artist
I have just returned with my wife from our longest (time and distance) holiday ever. We flew all the way around the Earth, we were away for 38 days.
One intention was to find new inspirations for me and my art. I kept a travel diary in a book one of my sons had previously gifted to me. I wrote about my days and I added my own sketches.
I often emphasise when asked that to develop my work it comes down to lots of practice. Over 37 days I drew 111 pieces, an average of 3 a day consistently. I also took over 6000 photos and wrote 141 pages in my diary – yes there are lots of inspirations to generate new art from.
Today was the first day back at the studio. I cleared the piece I had done on the front window, chatted to friends and started some new plans for 2023 and somehow stayed awake but now I have to admit tiredness is kicking in so a slightly earlier finish for me.

I will post more based on my travels at ideas that are sitting to be used at some point.
