Lots happening once more.

PAW preparation 2025

So meeting attended, posts put out on Visual artists forum trying to encourage some community to mainly “radio silence”.

Brochure hub started and new arrangements with Will at Acoustic distribution – we will see how it all works this year. May pull back from being hub next year as often as thankless task.

I have frames ready for three original drawings to put together once school holidays pass. New “winter sun “ trousers started to keep that andy element to my pieces.

Will be doing art for fun activity for PAY launch as last year – doesn’t feel part of SJ programme as never included as such but hey ho.

Not entering any more pieces for tombola as seen my pieces passed over two years in a row. Also didn’t sign up for pop up at Rollington as didn’t work with art for fun and I can better use time at the shop.

Advert placed in brochure using some of Covid funds – see if this has impact or if general downturn hits PAW too and review whether I do it for 10th year in 2026.

Shop

All prints in shop now mounted and catalogued with some more ordered already. This coincided with Kadinsky art closing but My room Art taking on mount kit stock and new order. Over 30 prints mounted in two shop days.

Card stocks needing more reprints but doing later and linked to seasonal sales – lower price point of most sales still currently although a few 16x 12 sales and one 20 x 16 too.

Postcard designs now include last years Dino ideas from Carnival week and 2025 carnival postcard awaits feedback from carnival meeting – need a more overt launch after Easter to start sales in shop.

Bookmarks especially selling well presently with me drawing up to four new ones in a shop day and selling within a week for most – Introduction to Art idea and small sales is keeping sales ticking over. And much discussion with visitors.

Pirate chest prize drawn for My’s Pirate Festival, links with other shops not happened so far as too busy.

A busy school, holidays with over 100 taking part in Art for Fun and lots of outside time again as some better weather, except Easter weekend! Also 4000 sessions total passed – see what we reach by end of August shop year.

Positive vibes once more

The school holidays has seen the return of regulars and more discovering the shop. Some dips and self doubt moments as usual. Again review where business at by 4th anniversary at start of September re finances, perceived use of time and own personal enjoyment.
