So for me this means scallop shells, halves of broken apart and lying on a beach or in an area where there are fishing boats. I was at the studio / shop today so actually did the drawing this morning.
For me this is a creature of ugliness seen on drains on old churches or sometimes other historical buildings usually made of stone. Drawing this from memory / imagination limits the detail but I am pleased with today’s first piece.
