Valentine’s Day is the next event. . .update
Ask other shopkeepers locally who sell similar products and apparently this is one I should be considering. So after a brainstorm I started a new use for some of the pen and ink card designs.
Rather than hand coloured cards I could modify the theme of the cards as “Original Valentines” where each design will be unique and only one example in the world (yes big ideas).
I designed the first few cards and placed an advert in the local marketplaces on Facebook.
I placed some in the shop window display and some extras on my table in the centre of the shop. Today I added some more cards to the series and one new design was sold before I had put it back in its wrapper. I also had a visitor come in already based on the Facebook adverts. So an encouraging start.
The commission idea mentioned in the advert could be a fresh design from scratch but we will see if anyone orders one.
So a new initiative and three sold already (22nd)
Here are the designs to date:

Update: Sunday 26th
The next signpost card sold before photo taken to share.
Now working on first commission card (design secret to client).
So 5/9 sold to date.
If interested, describe the card or number in this photo series and email me on andy@andyknillart.com. I will confirm if still available at £3 each. Or enquire about a commission idea and cost involved.
Thanks
Andy
