As a human on Planet Earth I have become more familiar in recent years with the new pre-Christmas term of Black Friday where large retailers discount goods to raise their sales.
I am a Sole Trader I can not afford to discount on these levels as I don’t have that larger profit margin to start with as my aim is to make #artaccessible to people who might not consider buying some previously.
Small business promotions help the smaller traders to have a more united voice. So this week I shall be taking on the Instagram challenge from @JustACard for the chance to join with others promoting what we have to offer. This links really well with my #muse yesterday.
Coming up on Saturday December 5 is Small Business Saturday. Working with larger campaigns and also local business networks can raise your profile without having to do all of the work yourself. This evening I have a weekly Zoom meeting with other businesses in Purbeck as part of the PBCG (Purbeck Business Community Group) who I have found a very welcoming group of people. We come from a wide variety of backgrounds and also have a range of experiences. The key factor is we are all interested in sharing and supporting each other and that has been especially helpful in lockdown in 2020.
