Wednesday 2nd December and the shop reopens after a second lockdown

Yesterday’s preparations paid off with a welcoming shop that was commented on by a number of visitors today. Here are the decorations with lights on making the place more welcoming.

The display of Christmas cards brought several visitors in and resulted in card sales

My lit up corner proved a popular area to explore and as already said, card sales.
My “post office counter” screen on its base that can be put away for when I am not in the shop. Only one read the Do not fee… sign today.

So card sales, a set of markers with follow up art techniques chat offered when pens are given as lives locally. I also offer back up support online for recipients who are sent packs of the pens.

The nicest bit today was having my latest hat commission collected. Once we are into next week and the birthday boy has had his present I will share the design. Also today, I had arranged to meet with a prospective client who wants a Christmas card designed – my fourth for clients this year. We agreed design ideas, price and deposit and I have already made good progress on this during the day in between customers and serving them. A second commission was ordered today based around some wooden boxes I have worked on previously. So I have a busy art week ahead.

I also had communication with another client and making link between them and printer and confirmation that the cards I had sent on Monday had arrived too for an online order from Gloucestershire.

So a good return to the shop, next shift Saturday, I am looking forward to it already…
