Some new inspirations – #notice
When I was teaching I joined a movement in my last few years called #teacher5aday which aimed to focus on wellbeing for teachers. #Notice was about taking a little bit of time to observe what’s going on around you, it could use any of your five senses.
As an artist I now find myself looking at my surroundings differently from how I used to. I was mainly a geography teacher so I looked at landscapes or towns and worked out how they came to be, what would be involved. As an artist I look for view points, light and shade, features to pick out.
Today I took a few photos that are the sort of jock phone snaps that I feel are likely to inspire new artworks at some point in the future. What inspires you?
