Portrait

So day 11 in March Meet the Maker prompts on Instagram. I am reusing post work, I post on Instagram initially, it copies it to my artist Facebook page. Later I use the images to put together a clip for Tik Tok and now I am blogging about it too, it almost qualifies as linked up thinking, I think.

So “Portrait”, what do you think most makers have posted today that I have looked at posts for? Yes, selfie’s or taken photos of the crafter. I did use some photos of me but the main focus of my post was a range of my portrait format artworks. I did an Andy thing, I tied a different approach. Anyway here are some of the photos I used – TikTok clip allows more images, Instagram limits me to 10.

Christmas 2018 drawing on my own clothes!

This was my first hand drawn boiler suit on fabric rather than the first on a paper decorating suit. Each boiler suit can feature up to 6 of my original drawings and they tend to remain unique to that suit. These are my self publicity attire. People have suggested that I should offer these as a product but until ai find someone willing to pay the cost of six originals in one piece they are likely to remain as one offs for myself. However, 2021 may see some other hand drawn custom items added to my portfolio in addition to the hats that I started in 2020.

The newly decorated pith helmet that I had bought earlier in the year from Snooks of Bridport. The t shirt from Saltrock clothing has been a favourite since I found it as its wording is so aposite – “Lost – if found do not return to previous life”.
