Sunday – a sketch and noticing
Today we did two walks, a morning one and an evening one. Both included lots of noticing our surroundings, the light, the features both natural and man made.
On the morning walk up to Durlston Castle I drew a view from our drinks stop and will be adding to this with colour when at the shop tomorrow.

On both walks we had the sounds of the sea, the coastline and its natural structure, other people and their activities….great to just watch, occasionally take a photo and enjoy.
When I was a geography teacher I did much the same noticing but would be describing features in my PY head or inflicting this on the family and working out how things had been formed, now the focus is more on possible viewpoints to draw from and just enjoying where we live,
So the next fortnight I am in the shop for four days- Mo, Tu, We and Sat all from 10 to 5. I will be drawing a variety of scenes and topics. Visitors are always welcome. I took my second lateral flow test of the week today and it was also negative. I share this I formation at the shop in case someone would like to come in but is still very wary. This is in addition to all the other covid safeguarding.
Maybe I might welcome some of you readers, if not now, at some point in the future.
