One chapter closes, a new one begins
So, much of today involved moving items from one shop premises to another. The current premises, rent paid to September 23 is almost empty of my work and furniture, I will finish this tomorrow morning. The new premises now contains much of my work and furniture and at the end of this afternoon we were there starting to get it into a sense of order.
The day also included sales of card, postcards and a calendar. A prize postcard for a youngster who identified lots of items on the two shop hats.
I received a design created for the new flag that will be on display outside the new shop at right angles to it so that it can be seen further down Commercial Road, much more effective than a header / front sign which would only have limited visibility.
I also did a drawing from photos I took of Andrew our Town Crier on Sunday afternoon in his new uniform. Although the face is not Andrew the overall piece is pleasing and is a gift to Andrew and Anja who have been good friends over a number of years.

Once home I have edited Social media profiles and added posts so that new viewers are directed to the new shop now. I have many business cards taken based on The Courtyard Studio so rather than just renaming accounts I have created new ones for the new premises so that precious visitors can find me again.
I admit that by the end of the day I felt very tired. Some Paralympic highlights and a new drama ‘Vigil’ made for a relaxing evening.
