So I was awake early, funny that I had been slightly nervous overnight. My new adventure of a solo shop / studio with the aim of returning to my happy place of sharing my love of drawing with others, my perennial target to sell some art and to enjoy myself doing it.
The inside tour
My sincere thanks go to Anne, my wife, for all her help these last five days for the work we have done together to pull together this new layout. Also to Martin, fellow shopkeeper and Jamie friend and furniture lugger assistant.
What a great start to represent and present my art in such a positive way. So would people come? Yes they did, several friends locally; families I have links with from my project work at Swanage Primary school previously. Lots of visitors to the town too.
Art for fun: 8 children drawn with, one piece not photographed clearly and great feedback – this was so special to have more space for and sharing drawing time with a range of young people.
Some art sales, a good luck card from a fellow local business, social media wishes for today. Thank you all. Yes today was a success.
Shop next opens on Saturday 4th from 10 until 5.<div class='sharedaddy sd-block sd-like jetpack-likes-widget-wrapper jetpack-likes-widget-unloaded' id='like-post-wrapper-123416164-6226-62c05d6160b10' data-src='https://widgets.wp.com/likes/#blog_id=123416164&post_id=6226&origin=andyknillart.com&obj_id=123416164-6226-62c05d6160b10' data-name='like-post-frame-123416164-6226-62c05d6160b10' data-title='Like or Reblog'><h3 class="sd-title">Like this:</h3><div class='likes-widget-placeholder post-likes-widget-placeholder' style='height: 55px;'><span class='button'><span>Like</span></span> <span class="loading">Loading...</span></div><span class='sd-text-color'></span><a class='sd-link-color'></a></div>
