Art related tasks on my day off
Today I have continued to post on social media. In Instagram I am trying to reduce the number of followers steadily on @andyatthecourtyardstudio and encourage new follows to the new shop account. This is working quite well and this evening the new shop account is already over 190 followers while the old shop a count has dropped 30ish this week.
So a sketch while out having a coffee on the pier and given to some friends. The picture I thought I had taken hasn’t shown up.
Confirmation that a print bought for a repeat customer arrived and was likes by the recipient who now has three of my tree pieces. Two more prints requested to be put aside today.
Next week I need to hand in my exhibition pieces for Rollington and as the main centre for Purbeck Art Weeks. So today it was a case of collecting picture mount resources and some prints too to represent me. So contact with my printer to see when I can collect newest works as he is currently away on holiday to Sunday.
The shop was looking lovely and two visitors followed us in even with the lights off, I didn’t want to disappoint as they bought a card.
So quite a bit of art admin and some sketching and even selling and art weeks preparation continues.
Oh and some art inspiration from safety boat duty for tonight’s sailing club racing – no photos as most of the time I was hanging on to equipment and the rib and points of contact needed to be maintained in a choppy force 4 ene breeze.
Tomorrow some more prep work, new keys for new locks and ordering some other sales point items.
