Inktober day 19 and an autumn window piece

So today’s Inktober prompt was ‘loop’. I delayed drawing a piece as I spent quite a bit of today at the shop starting an autumn window piece using my Posca markers.

Window display so far

As part of a conversation with Malcolm, a local friend, yesterday about painting window displays included his need to find a way of making the black in his piece opaque. I promised to experiment with my Posca markers. Then last night I chatted with the lady at Shoreside who has used Posca for her window designs. So today I started a design that evolved in my head and then on the window. I also found that the 8k markers went on better than the 7M nibs. I was very pleased with what I produced so far today. These photos show the stages of today’s progress.

Black outline just visible at foot of window and notice board behind my window signs
Tree trunk and branches mainly blocked in plus falling and leaves on the ground
Two pumpkins added
Bunting with skulls for halloween thanks to HappyHay Clothing
Tree trunk roots completed, await next stage details

Malcolm visited today and went away with the details of the markers, he added a bird to one of my branches which I am leaving.

Inktober day 19 – loop examples

Also today I had some customers who bought some ProMarkers so some demonstration and a try with the blender – it was great to do this before they went away with their purchases.
