Seeking feedback

While in insomnia patch between 04:00 and 06:30 this morning I did a survey for a local country park. it was on Survey Monkey and I then read a report from them about how a variety of businesses were adapting in the US to Covid 19 – a key aspect was seeking feedback from your customer base and also the wider population.

Now I admit I am not a big fan of going down a route of data and analysing it as this was one of the hinge that signalled me falling out of love with teaching. However I am interested in anecdotal feedback from visitors. I get this in conversations, sometimes in response to blogs, from social media comments. At the new shop I have resurrected my Feedback notebook to try and gauge how participants feel about the ‘Art for fun’ activity.

Art for fun hand written feedback

I now have profiles on a range of online platforms and if I want reviews I really need to tell people about them and encourage them to leave feedback. I have not built up an email listing previously as I post frequently on social media, but maybe it’s something I may consider going forwards.

So today I posted about how my Google profile for the shop and Trip Advisor profile both offer the chance to leave feedback. I will repeat this post more often and see what I get back.

Please if you are reading this and run a business:

– do you collect customer feedback?

– if yes, how?

– any advice / ideas?

Many thanks

Andy
