What a shop week…
We visited our son which meant that the shop only opened on three days this week, but what three days. Both commissioned pieces were collected and paid for by clients. A recent original drawing was bought. I sold two prints and lots and lots of cards, especially Christmas card designs.
When people ask how the new shop has started I am able to say every time – beyond my wildest dreams. Whatever National decisions are made after Christmas lockdown or restrictions I have successfully raised my game as a business for the 5th consecutive year. I would like to say a thank you to Anne for all her support, to my new landlords Suzanne and Alan, to my regular customers and visitors who pop in on a regular basis sometimes for a chat, sometimes a purchase or a chat.
We have one week leading up to Christmas Day, I will open from Monday to Friday in case people want last minute cards or gifts. If people staying in town of all ages would like to come and draw and take part in Art for Fun. I will offer the same the week after from Monday to Saturday rolling into 2022.
I love my role as a shopkeeper, sometimes I manage to be creative as well and be working on new pieces – I have some ideas for the next fortnight to take me into 2022. Visit and tell me what you think.
Thanks
Andy
