Panto art – a new experiment
So, I am in the chorus for the local panto. This week during the dress rehearsal and three public performances I have needed a distraction in between the three chorus numbers. I decided to take some art materials on Thursday for the dress rehearsal and see how it went.
Drawing materials; A6 postcard sized watercolour pad; fineliner set (Staedtler pigment markers); Posca coloured pencil set.
So my first piece and to be honest experiment as not usually keen to draw people featured several of the principal characters.

This was so well received by members of the cast in the same dressing room – principal characters and male chorus. I was also very pleased with the outcome.
Next I am based near the Panto Dame’s hanging rail.

This afternoon around he matinee I drew three pieces, two individual ones that were requested.

Such a positive impact that I have three possible requests for next week to do. The drama company have publicised the pictures I have done and linked to my Fb AndyKnillArt account. I have answered questions about my art too. A fun thing to do which has been far more successful than I expected.
