A new month, schools are back and …
Quietness is predicted to fall upon the studio / shop. This was certainly true on Tuesday. However I had a new commission to work on with some pet drawings – I had expressed my trepidation and then the first drawing proved far better than I had ever hoped for.
Wednesday, a dry but blustery and cloudy day…and this meant Iwas able to sit outside the shop. The pith helmet and boilersuit worked its magic as I got to chat to several people from – Cheltenham, Peterborough, North Dorset amongst others.
By lunchtime I had sold three prints, over 10 cards and discussed ProMarker sets – and worked on the second pet piece.
The afternoon got older and about 3 I moved inside – very few people about for this half of the day.
I have hung the work by my new guest artist Allie Hyett and changed some of the displays in the shop.

A great start to the month and in fact I have now chatted with two local artist friends who are booked in for April andMay 2023,and a possible enquiry that may lead to March being booked too.
Whatever the weather I shall be doing some drawing or maybe some Lino printing again soon and I am maintaining my opening hours as 10 to 5 in case any families want to come to do art for fun after the school day.
