December – wet and sales are down
So today was the 19th and I am on about 50% of my usual sales in a slow December previously. Card sales have recovered this month and I am back over 125 cards sold this month so far helped by Christmas cards.
Some commissions have helped, but small pieces and turned around quickly, like an A6 piece ordered this morning and delivered this afternoon.
I have things to be getting on with.
Today I led my second guided art trail walk along the flood barriers, in the rain.
Some art for fun returners have been seen and is very welcome.
I now have four small end panels to add to the flood panel project (a mere 75 x 75 cm each).
I also have my post Storm Ciaran canvas piece to return to when I can decide the best way to complete it.
I am open less days than usually pre Christmas but there just aren’t many people in town and the weather so far this month has been mainly wet. The rest of the month will see the above projects continue.
The start of 2024 will be my PAW entry and start to plan what my 6 pieces will be and what array of pieces that will represent me and what I can produce. Also a start to investigate and learn Linoprint skills and play with ideas to see what I can produce. That will give me ProMarker work, Posca work and Linoprint relief work as possible vehicles to communicate my ideas.
Also I am gradually populating the Postcards and greeting cards page in this website at last with my full portfolio. Once that page is done it will be onto prints then originals not seen in the other sections and the variety of different pieces and commissions I have done. I do want to have a record of all my workout up for sale out on view, it is nice for me to review it as much as it is for others to see it.
