10 days to PAW Open Studio 23
Wednesday 16 May and on duty in the Purbeck Artisan Yard, Church Street, Wareham. Well some rain so visitors are few and far between but great to chat with and some nice purchases by them.
I have taken down the pieces I want for Rollington or my home studio and these will go in the car at the end of my shift. A welcome lunch visit from Anne (my wife) with quiche and lemon drizzle cake from The Salt Pig – gorgeous.
I decided today not to bring my usual wide selection of Promarkers but to concentrate on using my dip pens and drawing inks and experiment with some water brushes I bought a while ago but have not used yet. I am working from memories / my imagination. The results are pleasing as it is nice to experiment with new techniques.
So far – “Racing Turn” a sailing piece and now developing a view north through the gap in the Purbeck Hills dominated by Corfe Castle.
