Black Friday for larger retailers (mainly) and a reiteration of how people can buy from me online but also that the shop and I will be ready to welcome visitors again from Wednesday and I can offer a Happy Sales dance – most people scared off by man in hand painted boiler suit and coloured in pith helmet at this point, but it’s nice to offer at least.
No sales today but I have had an enquiry about a possible late commission request and we are meeting at the shop to see if my work and their needs match without putting me under too much pressure – links to recent headaches / loss of sleep (see personal blog ).
Best thing today was to get started on the pen and ink drawing to base a new commission on linked to client and my own photos of a local scene. I was able to send client a progress photo and then made better progress than I expected with background colour.
A gentle day really, but we all need those sometimes.
