Today, no studio and shop for me as I had a stewarding duty at the main exhibition at Rollington Barn. Arriving slightly early, I got to add card replacements for those sold so far over the first weekend.
My boiler suit especially gained comments, both the one I was wearing and also the one on display. The concept of being hand drawn rather than printed seems to catch some unawares and they realise how much time must be involved.
It was lovely to welcome visitors and also wrap up purchases for customers. A nice point for me was when a couple independent of each other bought one of my cards and then a print too.
After my duty was completed and a duty mix up resolved I went off to visit other artist studios.
I visited:
Phil Hill’s home with work by three others too
Helen Biles’ studio again with other artists work
A return to Swanage and:
Alan Stephens and his glass studio in his first year in PAW
Mon Hawley
Next Monday I hope to visit some more studios locally.
Tomorrow, back to the studio.
